The Rural Activators Academy International Workshop brings together rural activators, project teams, experts and practitioners from across Europe for five days of learning, exchange and collaboration.
Hosted by Associazione Kora at the educational farm La Buona Terra, the event combines inspiring rural regeneration cases, expert sessions, practical workshops, project development and networking opportunities.
Participants will work directly on real projects, explore European funding opportunities and build alliances capable of turning ideas into lasting rural regeneration.

The culminating in-person event of the Rural Activators Academy, combining expert knowledge, practical work, peer learning and European networking.
From 2 to 6 September 2026 at La Buona Terra, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Umbria, Italy.
The main working language of the event is English.
Academy participants, rural regeneration practitioners, project teams, experts, organisations and local stakeholders. Some sessions are open to the wider public.
Rural regeneration, European funding, architecture as a social tool, project management, networking, community activation, youth mobility and digital tools.
Yes. Participants will work directly on their own projects during hands-on workshops and group sessions.
Participants will stay at La Buona Terra, an educational farm near Passignano sul Trasimeno.
A brief presentation of their project, its current stage, its challenges and the support or partnerships they are seeking.
Some keynote sessions and workshops are public, while other parts are reserved for Rural Activators Academy participants.
The workshop is hosted by Associazione Kora within the Architecto-Nemata European project and the Rural Activators Academy.
Before the workshop, participants are invited to:
Prepare a short introduction to their organisation or initiative.
Identify the main challenge currently facing their project.
Bring visual material, photographs or a project poster.
Think about the partnerships, knowledge or funding they are looking for.
Be ready to share, collaborate and contribute to the group.
